INBIOMEDvision was a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) funded by the European Commission 7th Framework Programme of ICT under the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) flagship. The 2.5 year project ran from 2011 to 2013 and had a total budget of 1.1M€. It brought together 7 partners from research organisations across the EU and was coordinated by the Pompeu Fabra University (Spain).
The aim of INBIOMEDvision was to monitor the evolution of the Biomedical Informatics field and address its scientific challenges by means of collaborative efforts performed by a broad group of experts with complementary perspectives on the field. The project placed particular emphasis on the dissemination of the Biomedical Informatics concepts, knowledge and resources, and on the consolidation of a Biomedical Informatics community of researchers by promoting interaction between scientists from a wide range of related fields.
INBIOMEDvision has achieved significant results and the conclusions of these activities have been published and have been widely disseminated through the project communication channels and at relevant scientific conferences Europe and world-wide.
